I am Shambhavi, currently studying in class 12 and I have been a part of this wonderful art class for about a year.

Firstly, I want to express my gratitude for your dedication and warm support while teaching. From the very first day of class your patience, encouragement, and insightful feedback have not only helped me improve my skills but also nurtured my creativity and confidence. You have taught me that not every picture is a pretty frame for the wall, but a learning process. Making mistakes is not something to feel bad about but it is something to learn a great deal from. Every picture I’ve made in this class was like a journey and through each step, you have been there to guide and inspire.

Beyond just teaching me about art, you have also taught me the importance of perseverance, self-expression, and the joy of creating art. I’ve developed patience and learnt how to be kind to not just others, but also myself. I have particularly enjoyed the group critiques and discussions. The discussions that take place in the class which first made me feel nervous and shy, have now turned out to increase my confidence and vocabulary and also improved my observational skills, analytical abilities, and how I perceive art and life. The class has also improved how I perform in school, specifically my attention span and also the way I do my presentations. The supportive community of students also play a huge role in this. They’re all very welcoming and show their appreciation in my art while also provide criticism in the gentlest ways when required, which built up my confidence to handle criticism constructively. This collaborative environment has provided valuable opportunities to learn from my peers and to see my work in a broader context and also prepares me not only for college but also for real world challenges.

You are also very open to listening to our problems and providing us with necessary help, even when it isn’t related to the art class. The discussions we have in the class are not only helpful, but they also make the class really fun and interactive. You also always reassure us and remind us that your support is always just a text away if we are ever in need. I deeply appreciate your ability to know when to provide me with a push to enhance my skills even further. This has made me more productive and self-resilient and boosted my motivation even more seeing how after the push my art turned out even better. One of the aspects I have appreciated most about your teaching is your ability to simplify complex techniques into small steps. Your clear and patient explanations, along with your willingness to provide guidance, have greatly enhanced my understanding and execution of various methods. This was especially helpful when I had just joined the class and was a little overwhelmed with the amount of different terms and techniques everyone was using. Even though I have only been in this class for a year, I have already noticed so much improvement in myself in both personal development and artistic skills. I have learnt many things I barely knew anything about before attending this class, and for that, I am forever grateful. Another aspect I particularly enjoy is the different mediums and styles you teach us. It feels great to be able to learn various mediums and unique art styles. This class feels less constricting than the other classes I’ve been to in the past since you teach us various styles, not just realism while also letting us explore our own styles. This allows me to enjoy the class even more, since I’ve always had an interest in learning about various different styles instead of only realism.

Though I was first a little skeptical about learning art from an online class, it has proved to be a valuable journey I will never forget. I am extremely grateful for the time and effort you have invested in my growth. Your mentorship has been invaluable, and I am confident that the skills I have gained under your guidance will continue to shape my artistic endeavors for years to come. Thank you once again for being an outstanding teacher and for making a lasting impact on my life. Your passion, dedication, and expertise have made a lot of difference, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from you. Overall, I had an amazing experience and learned a great deal from your class. I would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning art. Thank you once again for your excellent teaching and support. I look forward to continuing to grow as an artist and to carrying forward the lessons and values you have taught me.
