I am Jeswin Johnson a student of yours for the past 6-7 years and still counting. This is not just a feedback about an art class that I joined for passing my time. This my entire life experience in a nutshell. Thanks to your love, care, support and guidance, I have been able to develop myself to various heights that I never imagined. I just wanted to share some thoughts about our art class. I've really enjoyed being a part of it for the past 6-7 of years. It’s been a great space for me to explore my creativity and improve my skills not only in art but also in communication and intellectual aspects too.

The regular discussion about others pictures were at first not much of an importance to me because I didn’t understand it. But later I went on to understand why the pictures were discussed. First one was that they improved our capacity to think to outside and understand the mistake and also implement it in our pictures too. Second is to give a morale boost to the students as they feel that kind of happiness when their pictures are discussed. The discussion of pictures was very important and distinguishing feature, which I had only seen this art class.

One thing I appreciate is how you encourage us to experiment with different mediums. Ranging from oil pastel to acrylic. The level of the students is gradually increased according to their progress. The constructive critiques you give are super helpful, too; they push me to think deeper about my work. I also like how we sometimes get to work on personal projects, as in my case the girl picture, Jesus Christ, all these are just examples. It feels great to express what I’m passionate about, and seeing everyone else’s unique styles is inspiring.

The art classes not only just improved my artistic skills but also affected my day to day activities. My speaking skills improved quite a lot. Just one instance is when I went to the hospital for a health checkup. My mother happened to work there and I was supposed to explain my discomforts to the doctor, around me where my mom’s colleagues and just after I left the hospital after informing the doctor about grievances, my mom’s colleagues happened to say that “your son speaks so well and is very mature for his age" and all those kinds of praises. My mom told me this when she reached home after work and she was really proud of me. Apart from this, my time management was on point, I am able to concentrate on my studies more, but still lack the concentration slightly. My attention span just went up high. my confidence just sky-rocketed. At first, I was completely an introvert, but now a lot has changed. All thanks to this art class. The comfortable environment you’ve created makes it easy to focus and enjoy the process. I feel comfortable not making mistakes, which is important for my growth as an artist.

Thanks for creating such a positive environment for us to learn and grow. Looking forward to what’s next!
